The 2018 Bangor Business Awards have now CLOSED for entries. Shortlists will be announced in the Co Down Spectator on Thursday 13th and Thursday 20th September.

2018 sees the Bangor Business Awards ‘come of age’ as they celebrate 18 years!

With our 18th consecutive year of the awards, we can confirm that the Gala Awards night will take place on Friday 19th October in the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel when over 320 local businesses will come together to celebrate the very Best of Bangor!

The awards are a vital part of the local Bangor business calendar and provide a real incentive for local businesses to be recognised for their commitment to growth, investment, customer service best practice and high standards. Entries grow year-on-year and the judging process gets more difficult; however, the outcome is that we reward an exceptional standard of winners and we’re looking forward to hearing who those will be for 2018! Our award categories are carefully selected to reflect the Bangor area and allow our local businesses to promote themselves and celebrate the many excellent business and individuals in Bangor. The awards are FREE to enter. Take a look through this document and then enter online before the closing date of Monday 27thth August 2018.

Welcome from Principal sponsor: Ards and North Down Borough Council

The Bangor Business Awards are a highlight of the business calendar. The awards provide the opportunity to recognise and highlight both individuals and businesses who, despite economic challenges, continue to bring prosperity and growth to the Borough.

The successes and contributions of our business community are especially valuable given Ards and North Down Borough Council’s new ‘Blue:Green, Creatively Connected’ Strategy for tourism, regeneration and economic development. This new integrated strategy sets out our shared vision to ensure continued growth in the economy, to warmly welcome visitors and to improve places, both urban and rural, over the next 12 years.

Ards and North Down Borough Council is delighted to be principal sponsor of these awards and we look forward to acknowledging the excellence and celebrating the achievements of our business community, which operates across so many sectors.

    Councillor Richard Smart

Mayor of Ards and North Down
